Growing together as we raise a teen

Things have been going pretty well lately between Carla and me. I feel like we are getting more and more on the same page when dealing with V. It's been hard, but it is all part of the process of change. There have been times of frustration, but the most important thing while raising V (I have noted) is that she and I are one unified voice. When V looks at us, it's not "he said", "she said"...it must be "they said." I believe he is getting that picture and I feel that Carla and I make a good team when it comes to this. We, in an amazing way, compliment each other. If I confront V with something, he might get frustrated with me but then is able to talk to Carla calmly about it. If Carla confronts him, he might lash out at her, but is able to talk to me calmly about it. It's an interesting thing. But in any case, it gives us a chance to shed some good light on each other and to help V see that we are a team and there is a reason that we do what we do. This is making our marriage stronger and every day we overcome one of these battles is a big victory in our walk together.
